A Little Taste of Summer …

Haha … cool title, huh? It’s not the title of the book though. It’s the title of the post. I have no idea why I’m holding back on giving you the title for the 3rd book. I just thought it would be fun to find out the title when you see the cover. No? Yes? Who cares?

So, you ready for a teaser? On Facebook, I said I was going to give you one line for each of the girls, but I couldn’t pick just one …

Summer

And again, he takes hold of my shoulder, spinning me around toward him. We’re surrounded by graduates, parents, younger children, and other staff members. I glance in all directions wondering how I can get out of his grasp without making a scene.

Leaning closer, trying hard not to touch my body to his, through gritted teeth I softly say, “Take. Your. Hand. Off. Me. Now!”

His eyes narrow. His nostrils flare.

For the first time in my life, I’m actually afraid of him.

Shelly

Matty laughs as he says, “Yeah, there’s nothing worse than friends who text constantly and won’t leave you alone when you’re trying to get busy.”

“I’m just going to assume you’re not talking about me,” Mel tells him, a hand pressed to her chest as if she’s truly offended.

Tyler wears a pained expression on his face. “And I’m just going to assume you’re not talking about getting busy with my sister.”

“Honey,” Mel pats his leg, “Too late. Baby Noah is proof they’re getting busy.”

“It’s okay, big brother,” I joke. “We’ve only done it once. Just to procreate. That’s it, right?” I tilt my head toward Matty and flash him an exaggerated wink.

“That’s right, baby. And we didn’t even like it.” He chuckles, winking right back.

I dig my elbow into his side. “Now let’s not take it that far.”

Mel

I never thought I’d say this, but Summer McGallian isn’t so bad. Fucking shocker, I know. Sometimes even I’m still surprised.

Well …

What do you think? I’d love to hear your feedback so far. Many of you wanted me to write Summer’s story while others wanted to punch her in the face. Either way, when you’re finished reading her tale, you’ll be just as surprised as Mel. Watch out, she’ll steal your heart, just like she has mine.

Happy Tuesday!

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Till next time,

Julie

  1. I DID want to punch her in the face, but this looks interesting…

I know I’m going to love this one as much as the others. <3

    when will the book release??

  3. It will release late April. 😀 Exact date coming soon.

  4. I love the excerpt!! Get writing, Julie!! I can’t wait!! LOL!! I just finished ATW and BTS, and left reviews on both Goodreads and Amazon. I love both books but am super intrigued to see how you redeem Summer. I’m guessing that Chase is as big of an ass as we all suspected in ATW. He seemed OK in BTS but he appears like too much of an ass to not be. Does that make sense?

Anyway, I’ll be waiting with bated breath until April. Dang! That’s so far away… It’s a good thing you have other books for me to read.

P.S. I think the title would be great!! LOL!!

    • Thank you, Charli!!! Your reviews are amazing. 😀 April seems like it’s just right around the corner to me. LOL! Stay tuned for more Teaser Tuesdays about Summer. 😀 Thanks again.

  5. Hi Julie,
Have to say I loved ‘Against the wall’ :) After finishing it my amazon account was busy was busy with ‘Between the sheets’ and the ‘Double threat series’.
Is it wrong that I loved the YA books just as much as the Adult?
I don’t care about (bleck!) Summer….. I want to hear Ben’s story and Josh’s! Please tell me there are more planned.

  6. I have now read all of this series used a whole box of tissues loved the way you make the characters and stories so believable. Being a Senior getting a taste of happy endings and sensing all the frustrations of your characters Julie keeps me looking out for. more of your books. I look forward to more great stories. Please keep writing.
