So it’s been a long week and I decided to start blogging…my short stint at blogging for a whopping two times in the past did not go over well. So I’m going to try to do it more often. Let’s see how it goes…
I spent last week on the run. I drove to Vegas for my daughters’ dance competition. Nothing like seeing a bunch of little girls dressed like hoochie mamas. Thank God my girls wanted to take lyrical ribbon or else I think I would probably flip. They can save the gyrating for one they’re 35. Yeah right, I know. I can dream, can’t I?
On Friday, I went to see New Kids On The Block at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA. It was amazing. I wanted to shoot myself in the foot though. Once again, I passed up the chance to buy 5* tickets and meet the guys. Why? Why? Why did I do that to myself? All these women are out there, waiting in line for their chance to meet Danny, Donnie, Joe, Jon, and Jordan…and I’m waiting to pick up my 4* tickets.

***NKOTB Irvine 7/10/09*** I was about to start hyperventalating here!

What the hell was I thinking? Seriously? I did this for the Reunion Tour too. 5* was still a bit foreign back then. I wanted to fork over the dough for the tix, but my friends didn’t. I opted to buy 4* tix with them because I didn’t want to buy the other on my own. DUMB! I should’ve done it. Who knew I was going to make so many friends at the concerts that with BLOCKHEADS, no one is ever alone.

Now, I talked myself out of buying the 5* tix just minutes before they went on sale. I was trying to be responsible since we just bought a house and I was trying to be rationale, thinking I could use the money for new house stuff. WHY? WHY? WHY I ask? Why did I have to be so freakin’ responsible? As soon as I got the 4* I knew I would regret it.
So I let another chance pass to meet Danny Wood! I did get the chance to meet him once…but I’m pretty sure he thought I was a mime….because I knew I had things I wanted to say but all I did was shake my head, smile, and mouth words without anything coming out. LMAO! I’m such a dork. But that was back in August of 2008 when it was still so new that they guys were back. Now, I think I would be calm and actually squeeze out a few recognizable words.

So, if there is a next time…I’ll gotta get my 5* tix so I can meet the guys and be in the first 10 rows at the concert!!! LOL!! How else will they be able to see my goofy signs or the googly eyes I’m making at them…hopefully they won’t see the drool!! LOL!

Well, there is life after New Kids…so on Saturday, I had my second book signing. So fun!! We had a good time at the Page One Café in Ontario, CA. Although, I think I still talked more about NK than I did my book! LOL! I just can’t stop.

Thank you to everyone who came by to get a copy of “So I’m A Double Threat”. It was fun and the food was great. One of my friends, Pete, tried everything on the menu. Haha!! Well, not everything, but he had a good time sampling a lot of dishes. I wonder how his stomach felt later.

What’s next on the book tour?? Don’t know yet…but I’ll make sure to let you know as soon as I do…
