Book signing love …

Franceis, where ever you are, you made my day!

Today, I signed books at the So Cal RWA conference. I was just hoping that someone other than family would stop by and say hi. And they did (and so did my family–thank you tons). I was truly blessed to chat with readers who browsed, and some who even wanted books signed by little old me. 😀

I was most ecstatic when a young woman by the name of Franceis came by. She stopped at my table and was so happy to be at the signing. She looked at my books and said, “You don’t have the second one?” I was like, “Oh, you’ve read Against The Wall?” And she responded with an, “Of course I have.” Like duh, hasn’t everyone? Haha. I was amazed. This wasn’t the first time I’ve signed books for someone other than my mom, but any time someone asks, it’s still the most awesome thing in the world and still surprising as hell.

I did have Between The Sheets with me so I signed one for Franceis. Then, check this out, she says, “This has been such a great year for me. Two weeks ago, I met Stephenie Meyer, and I also met Nicholas Sparks, and now, I’m meeting you!” You should have seen the smile on her face. I could’ve tackled her and hugged her forever. Me! Mentioned in the same sentence as Stephenie Meyer and Nicholas Sparks. I nearly pissed myself right there. I also signed her Kindle cover next to many many other authors. Woohoo!

So,  I just had to share this wonderful experience with you. Franceis, where ever you are, I hope you see this. Please stop by and visit me again! I look forward to it.

I promise you, amazing readers and stellar bloggers: this will never get old for me. I appreciate every single comment you make, tweet you send, post you write, click on LIKE, and book you buy. Without you, I’d be telling my stories to myself and that wouldn’t be very fun.

Thanks again.

Still giddy as hell,

Julie
