Before Someday is a long novel. Like really long. Just think… Meg had four whole books to tell her story. Alex has one. So, what I did was divide the book into four parts. Got it?
Let’s take a look at Before Someday- Part One: The Wait (which is Alex’s equivalent of Meg’s So I’m a Double Threat) and let’s talk music. While I was writing this part, so many songs came to mind as Alex navigated this year of pure insanity.

I Wish by One Direction— OMG, this is perfect for the Homecoming Dance. Alex seeing Meg dancing with Eric, AND she’s looking at Ben. Holy moly, this part is just downright torture for my Alex.
If I Knew by Bruno Mars–I imagine Alex singing/saying this to Meg throughout the first year.
Walk it Out by DJ Unk— Alex loves watching Meg dance. He can’t wait to get his hands on her and have her walk it out-back it up right into him. Umm hmm.
Just a Kiss by Lady Antebellum–Well, you get the picture. What a sweet end to the first part.
In Part One, I can’t help but feel bad for the guy, but I also wanted to slap Alex in the back of his head and tell him to man the hell up. You’ll see. You just wait!
