Playlists

Every morning, I listen to music while I get ready for work. I’ve been going through a few playlists lately and I cracked up. The songs I listen to while writing romance for adultsĀ are way different than those I listen to while writing my teen series.
Check it out:
After School Special Series–Adult romance (and for those of you who don’t know–no, that doesn’t mean porn)
1. Like a Wave by Jordan Knight
2. Count on Me by Bruno Mars
3. Let’s Make Love by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
4. Stitch by Stitch by Javier Colon
5. War by Jay Sean
6. See No More by Joe Jonas (hey, don’t judge!)
7. You and Me by Lifehouse
8. Stingy by Jordan Knight feat. Donnie Wahlberg
9. American Honey by Lady Antebellum
10. Ready to Love Again by Lady Antebellum

With the Double Threat series, I have a mixture of songs I listened to when I was in high school and some Top 40. When I write about Meg and the gang, I need some lively music. My head bobs and I find myself dancing in the middle of a scene. It’s very energetic. Although I do throw a few slow songs in for those heart twisting emotional moments.
As I embark on the NaNoWriMo challenge, I wonder what will become my frantic, I-need-to-write-30,000-more-words-and-I-only-have-a-week-left playlist.
Since I’m writing part two of the After School Special Series in the next 30 days, I will leave you with my favorite Lady A performance of Just Kiss. The way they look at each other at the end… ::content sigh:: makes me melt. Wow is all I can say.
