Reading, But Should Be Writing

Absolutely adorable read by
Rachel Gibson. I couldn’t
put it down.
I’m such a sucker for a great book. The bad thing about that is I always find great ones to read. Then, finishing the book consumes me until I find my next fix. I can never manage to read a few pages a day and then put it away. Once I start a book, I’m in it. Even if that means I’m up until two in the morning so I can read the last page.
Usually, I wouldn’t be complainging about my love for reading, and my love for a sweet happily ever after, but right now…I need to write. Seriously. I do. I have two novels I’m working on: part 3 of the Double Threat Series and part 2 of the After School Special series.

Another amazing book from
Elizabeth Reyes. Each book
in the series gets better and
sexier. Love Romero!

Being that it’s November, NaNoWriMo is well under way. Since I’m already half way into Double Threat, I decided to start my second adult romance. It would have been so much easier to just finish DT, but I want to stick to the rules of Nano and begin with 0 words. It wouldn’t really be fair to start November 1st with 25,000 words already written, right?

My problem is I can’t stop reading. I’ve read I’m in No Mood for Love, Treading Water, and Romero in the last two weeks not leaving me much time to establish my plan of attack. Or write. So I’ve come up with a plan to deter me from picking up my Nook.

You can’t go wrong with
Marie Force. This was
a tear jerker and a stunner.
I thought I knew what was
going to happen and then
Marie shocked the hell
out of me. Another
stellar read from Marie Force.

Tomorrow, I’m going to relinquish my reading rights to my mother by handing over my Nook. She’s going to be in heaven reading all the juicy romances I have on there. But most importantly, I’m going to have plenty of time to write. LOL. I sound like a crack addict handing over my pipe, huh? My addiction to books is probably just as fierce. 😀
Wish me luck friends with my Nook withdrawals and with NaNoWriMo.
I’m off to do an hour of power writing before Castle starts.
See ya!
