Top Reads of 2011

As many of you know, I’m definitely a flip-flopper. I read young adult books for awhile, then I flip to adult romance. For the most part, I’m a sucker for happily ever afters. It’s not often that I read outside the romance genre because … I just like my cute chick lit with sassy women and hot guys. When the guy and girl don’t end up together, I’m truly disappointed and want to pull my hair out. I curse at the authors saying, “Why? Why? Why?” I’m convinced every time I read one of those books, it would have been just as good, if not better, if there were a happy ending.
With that said, you’ll find mostly contemporary romances in my Top Reads of 2011. And, I have no idea when they were published. They could be recently pubbed or from years ago. All I know is that I read them sometime in 2011, and loved them enough to share here. 😀
Let’s start with YA first:

Leaving Paradise and Return to Paradise by Simone Elkeles

Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols

The Hate List by Jennifer Brown

Sweet Sofie by Elizabeth Reyes (although I could have listed the entire Moreno Brothers series)

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

My top adult romance loveable reads:

The McCarthys of Gansett Island series (and every other book) by Marie Force

The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton (My husband has Jaci to blame for my mad obsession with adult romances. After I read Nothing Personal, I was hooked)

Just One of the Guys by Kristan Higgins

The Three Kisses Trilogy by Christie Ridgway (I couldn’t pick just one)

Wife by Wednesday by Catherine Bybee

Going Cowboy Crazy by Katie Lane (You should read the sequel too!)

Now, I have to mention two books (or series) that I would have never usually read  because of the genre, but I absolutely loved. One I had to read because I fell in love with every other book Marie Force has written. I could have filled up my entire top ten list with her novels alone. The other was recommended by one of my readers, @andi_s13 (thank you so much for sharing).

The Fatal Series by Marie Force

Delirium by Lauren Oliver

If you haven’t already read these, put some or all on your To-Read list for 2012. You won’t be disappointed. Also, send me your suggestions. I’m always for a new good read. 😀

Happy New Year! May 2012 bring you tons of amazing love stories.
