So I have a confession to make…

I have a confession to make…
I absolutely, without a doubt, love Disney movies. And I’m not talking Toy Story or Shrek, the kind of Disney movies most self-respecting adults enjoy. No way…I’m talking Camp Rock , High School Musical , and my ultimate obsession right now—Starstruck . I don’t know what it is…but I just love the music and the dancing. Maybe it’s because I didn’t watch movies like these when I was a kid. I have no idea. But I find myself listening to the soundtracks on the way to work, even when my ten and eleven year old daughters don’t want to hear them. Maybe it’s the lyrics…no F that B, or pants around your knees. Just some light lovable fun… “We’re like fire and rain… .” LOL!
Okay, I know I’m a dork. And I probably have a problem…hehe. But these movies just make me want to go back to high school and bust out into a choreographed performance in the cafeteria. HAHA! But just the dancing. I don’t sing. Well, actually, I love to sing. I sing at the top of my lungs in the car, but I probably shouldn’t. My girls tell me that I make their ears bleed.
My favorite part of Starstruck is when Christopher and Jessica get back to the beach after being lost.  Everything seems to be great and it’s all smiles for both of them…until he ruins it. Jessica tells him, “Just a minute ago I was amazing and now you’re embarrassed to be seen with me.” Ahhh. Crushed! How sad. I just wanted to take off my shoe and throw it at the screen. I know what it’s like to get a call from a guy at almost midnight asking if I want to go out. WTF! Why now? Why didn’t you call me like five hours ago? Whatever dude! Anyway, the music is pretty fun and catchy. By the time you’ve seen the movie a couple times, you totally start singing along. Haha. I’m usually mouthing the words so I don’t look like a tool, but you know I’m bopping around in my seat pretending I have my shades on. It’s on OnDemand right now, so take advantage.
Camp Rock, the first one, used to be my favorite before Startstruck came along. I never even paid any attention to the Jonas Brothers before this movie. Okay, seriously, I still don’t pay any attention to them. But they did a great job in the movie and I love the ending with Joe and Demi … “This is real, this is meeee….”
Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam just came out and I have to be honest here…I didn’t like it all that much. After the first one, I was a little disappointed. The only part I really liked was Kevin making a fool of himself and when Joe and Demi sang, “Wouldn’t Change a Thing.” Love that song.
But then…I got to see the most amazing musical ever… “Camp Rock: The Musical” performed by Chaffey High School’s theater department . It was incredible. By far, way the heck better than the movie. I’m not the only one to have said this either. So Camp Rock was redeemed in my book. I’m pretty disappointed that I don’t get to see it again. This show was so good that it should run year-around in Hollywood or New York City. I’d get season tickets! I swear I wanted to jump up on that stage and dance with them. Camp Rock or Camp Star?? Hmmm… I don’t know. All I know is that the show was on “FIRE!” The singing was incredible, the choreography was extraordinary, and when it ended I was so full of energy. Singing and dancing does that to you, I guess. And months later, here I am still thinking about it, blogging about it. It was that good!

So I thought I’d post some pictures and some videos so that you can be jealous that I saw it all live, I got pictures with the cast, and got me some autographs that are going to be worth millions in the near future.

First off:

I’m pretty sure my little one told Luke (Orion Moore) that she loved him. She still says that she told him, “I love Camp Star.” I didn’t hear that though. Uh oh ladies…watch out…my ten year old will fight you for him. LOL! And there were plenty of girls going crazy over the cast. I kept hearing them say, “Oh my gosh, did you see that, he was singing to me!” “He nodded at me at the end of the song.” “Should I go talk to him?” Hahhaha! Too funny! Cute girls…I would have been the same way if I was your age. Okay, who am I kidding, I’d still be like that if NKOTB was standing right in front of me. When I see them in July, I’m still going to pretend like they’re singing to me way up in the cheap seats.

I got a picture too! We took this shot at the first show, and then I’m such a fan I took the pic back to get it autographed at the second show months later. I’m good. I know. I’m taking a bow.

Let’s check out what Orion can do on stage:

Pretty freaking cool, huh!!!

And another pic:

This is Nate (or Nick), or Jonathan Espinoza. When he sang “Introducing Me,” it was fantastic. “I really like it when the moon looks like a toenail.” ??? WTH does that even mean. I tried to keep myself from laughing aloud. The vocals were great, and he did an awesome job of playing the part…and again I liked it better than the movie. Sorry Nick. Better luck next time.

So this is Jon, but it’s a little different version. As I was searching YouTube for videos to post here of the show, I came across this one. 12 Days in Paris…pretty cool! Shane (Joe), aka Daniel Durston is on the right. I know of a little girl who went home from the show and told her mom that Shane sang right to her during “Wouldn’t Change a Thing.” Check it out:

So you know for the rest of the night, I’m going to be singing “Do do, do do do do…”

I still have plenty of pictures and videos to post but I gotta go.

I’m going to go eat dinner, and watch Starstruck!

Word.

LOL.
